Happy Birthday Emeri

Emeri's third birthday was last Friday (the 12th), and we had a blast celebrating! It was especially fun because she understood that it was her special day, and she was thrilled with all the gifts and attention! We had a great family day on Friday, Rob worked a very short day and when he came home we let her open all her gifts and then we took her to Disneyland! The afternoon was nice and cool and she went on all her favorite rides, and she even got to hug Mickey for the first time....which she still talks about! Then on Saturday we had a party up in the dirt (Hesperia) at my parents house, complete with a bounce house, slip n slide, friends and cousins! Emeri was so happy!!

Passing the Days

Even though fall is only a few weeks away it is still hot! Emeri is glad it is hot because it means more pool time, I am just wishing for a little cooler weather because I am sick of sweating! There have been so many birthdays the past few weeks! Robs was back in August, and we had a family eatin' ho-down at Lucille's BBQ restaurant, and then headed back to our house for lemony cupcakes that Emeri helped frost. I had cute pictures of that day, but I got delete crazy on my camera and erased an entire month of cute pictures before I realized I had not down loaded them yet..... I blame it on the prego brain. Then this past weekend was my mom's birthday and we had an eating fiesta at a local Mexican restaurant which was rather yummy. Then the boys (Rob, John and grandpa John) and Karen headed off to a Dodger game and left the old birthday girl, the huge prego lady and Emeri home to nap and swim! My grandpa's 90th birthday was also this week, and Brian Giles is TODAY! Happy Birthday! Emeri's third birthday is right around the corner and so is Traci's----and somewhere in there the new little guy will have a spot in the famous September birthday month! Our little man is almost here, just a few agonizing weeks ahead of waiting and GROWING! AHH! Bye for now!

This is Emeri mid air at gymnastics class, its a bit dark and blurry, but you get the idea: fun!

We went to the La Verne street fair, and it had a full petting zoo, which Emeri LOVED! She spent all her time cuddling the baby chickens, I was trying to take a picture of her hugging this one, but it pecked her instead-but it did not phase her!

Rob's group at work gave us a little baby shower, it was amazing how nice everyone was! They got gifts for the new baby, for Emeri, for me and some gag gifts for Rob too.

Long time, No Blog

Hello! It has been over a year since our last post! HA! We are going to try and keep up on it, especially with baby #2 almost here!!

A quick update on the last year or so.....

We sold our house, and had to shack up with the parents for a bit before we settled in Claremont. We love it here, there are beautiful trees everywhere and the houses are old and unique. We live in a community that has a pool, and we have passed many summer days and nights in there! Rob has been working at Edison for almost one and a half years now, and he is doing great and enjoys his short commute to work (he now works in Irwindale!) Kristin is ALMOST finished with her BS degree and will be graduating either in December or May, depending on how exhausting the new baby is! Emeri is almost 3, and she is a funny gal. She spent her summer in swimming lessons, gymnastics, and enjoying the cool nights with all the neighborhood kids! She is now an official trike rider, and loves bombing down the little hills around our house! Baby #2 (who remains nameless!) will be arriving mid to late September, and we are excited! Em has already stated that when the baby cries she will give him a bottle to make him happy! She is so sweet, lets hope that carries over to when she really hears the baby cry at 3 am!

Here is Emeri with her new favorite critter!

Traci, Brian and Meg were in town for a Giles sister wedding, and spent a little over a week with us- it was so fun! The girls played so good, and it was great to spend time with my sister! Traci took some great pictures of the girls, and when our entire family was together, but I have not download those pics yet... I will get them up eventually! Here are the Giles at Disneyland...where we spend a fun filled day chasing princesses!

The girls in their matching cloud PJ's... thanks grandma and grandpa Scribner!
